Event Navigation

{Covid 19 protocol: 2-meter distancing, hand sanitizing of equipment between users. The workshop will be held outdoors.}

Join us for a fun couple of hours exploring the wonders of this gorgeous orange mushroom, Hypomyces lactifluorum.

Ann Harmer, author of Magic in the Dyepot, will be with us to provide tips and suggestions, and to guide us in experimenting with extracting colours from this striking mushroom found in our lower open forests now and into October. We can expect this mushroom to give us beautiful pinks and corals.

Please bring:
lobster mushrooms if you have some
paring knife
old toothbrush for cleaning the forest debris from the mushrooms
something to take wet wool samples home in
cutting board

Fibreshed will provide mordanted wool for your samples and dye materials.

LearnAlongs are Fibreshed Learning Opportunities held monthly, for members only, on the first Saturday of the month, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm unless otherwise specified.
